Description

The apartment building is set near the waterfront. Amenities include a personal pool and designated parking areas. The apartments are accessed by an exterior hall.

Dexter's 2nd flooring apartment (later, rental) seems normal and well-kept, consisting of a living room, kitchen, work area, rest room, and bed room. Despite this, it comprises secret puts. Dexter's blood slide field (storing trophies of his kills) is hidden within an air-con unit. In the bedroom closet, his kill equipment are locked inside of a trunk. Also, a getaway bag containing emergency pieces (e.g. cash, passports) is sealed in the back of a wall.

History

Season 1

Dexter lives alone, even though he spends a few of his time at Rita Bennett's house.

Season 2

After her ordeal with The Ice Truck Killer, a traumatized Debra Morgan lives with Dexter till he persuades her to transport out. Lila West spends some nights with Dexter, which reasons conflicts with Debra.

Season 3

Ramon Prado breaks into Dexter's apartment and trashes it.

Season 4

During his marriage to Rita, they reside in a house in the suburbs, with Dexter having some issue adjusting to family life. To have a quiet place where he can analysis his objectives, and store his trophies and kill tools, Dexter secretly assists in keeping his apartment. When Rita unearths out (months after the marriage), she is indignant and suspicious of why Dexter stored it. Now forced to surrender his apartment, Debra takes it over.

Season 5

After Rita is killed via Arthur Mitchell, Dexter moves again into his apartment with Harrison. Due to the crowding, Debra begins staying with Joey Quinn.

While she's in hiding from Jordan Chase, Lumen Pierce resides with Dexter in his apartment, after first staying alone in his empty space.

Season 6

The apartment remains the house of Dexter and Harrison. In order to have more space, privateness, and an additional entrance, Dexter buys the following door apartment -- 9B. He also hires Jamie Batista as Harrison's nanny. After Debra breaks up with Quinn, she once more stays with Dexter until she rents a seaside house.

Season 7

In "Do the Wrong Thing," Hannah McKay shows up impulsively at Dexter's place with a flowering plant.

In "Chemistry," it turns into a criminal offense scene when Sal Price is killed there.

Season 8

In "Goodbye Miami," when Dexter and Hannah make plans to move to Argentina, he mentions that he needs to promote his "condo."

In the finale, Dexter fakes his own demise and leaves Miami for the Northwest the place he rents a room. It's no longer revealed who buys the apartment, however Sylvia Prado is the realtor.

Trivia

In separate incidents, Brian Moser and Oliver Saxon spoil into Dexter's apartment to commit murder. Oliver tries to kill Dexter and Brian tries to kill Debra Morgan. Both are captured within the bedroom via Dexter. After capturing the unique scenes in Bay Harbor Island, Miami Beach, a reproduction of the apartment was constructed within the Sunset Gower studio in Hollywood, California. They even recreated the view one would see from the window of the real-life apartment in Florida.
